You can use an oversized big washer of your size choice with two-sided carpet tape stuck to one side of the washer. Press the washer with tape side down and presto...you can route without clamps if you are careful. Good Luck

| Have you tried using a holesaw without the pilot hole? I would use one slightly bigger than 2 inches. The drill will dance around a little, so I would try to keep the rpm's low on the drill until a groove has been created. Then, I would use 2 sided tape and to attatch a washer, that is a great idea! From there, you just sand the edges down until all of the edges are even with the washer. That is how I would do it anyways. Barry.
