And remember let the speed of the tool do the work meaning don't put a lot of pressure on it. The tool will cut the best by using speed about 15000 rpm or higher. It will take time and patience

Etching in lava rock

Hey all. I have a piece of black lava rock that I want to carve something into. I haven't had my Dremel for very long so I am wondering what bit (I'm assuming some sort of diamond bit but I'm not sure) I should use. It is a pretty soft rock and I only have one shot at it so I want to be sure to get it right the first time. I know I'm not providing a lot of details but honestly I'm not sure what information to include so if there is something you need to know before answering me please let me know and I will answer ASAP. Thanks!
