I called Dremel yesterday and have a 1/4" collet and a wrench coming for my model 732 flex shaft machine, about $11 at my door. They still do have at least some parts for this tool. The lady I talked to was very pleasant and well informed, good shopping experience. The collet for the 236 handpiece does not interchange w/ present day collets. I know it was still being made in 1998 but while I could find it listed on a 2000 price list I did not see it listed on a 2003 Price List. By chance I found a 2001 Catalog and it was still listed in that one. Your best bet is to call customer service and see if they have a book for it and maybe see if you can still get part#590 which is the collet you were wondering about.
