As part of installing pergo floors in my basement, I used it multiple times:

1. undercut door jams

2. was able to re-use the stair nose as a reducer by slicing off 1/2 the rounded end. It cut very smoothly and looks like I bought it that way.

3. when putting on trim, i was able to nip off a nail when I found that the trim was misaligned to the floor

4. Was able to adjust the trim around the bi-fold doors after they were installed when I realized the doors needed an angle to fold out.

5. Did an acceptable job coping considering it was white trim and thus was being painted/caulked.

Basically this tool is great for not having to remove things and start over saving me time and money.

The only negative so far is that because it is based on vibration, the item must be very tightly secured to use the tool (so no holding an item in your hand or between your knees) though I guess that is an extra safety feature.

Flush Cutting Hilti Nails

I have a remodeling project where we are moving a metal stud wall in an apartment building. The top and bottom channels are hilti nailed into the concrete ceiling and floor. Will the Multi Max flush cutter work on the Hilti nails? I would like to avoid pulling them out and ripping out chunks of concrete.

Stabilizing feature

Would like to see a feature that would be an adjustable support behind the oscillating head that would make it easier for consistent height and depth of a cut. It would need to be a combination height and "rip-fence" concept.

This could be a combo possibly with a similar feature for the powercord-end of the tool which would allow a specified / desired angle of cut to be maintained and smootly cut.

This would allow i.e. resting the tool on a floor surface and cut to raise the baseboard for tile, without getting into drywall, screws, nails, and/or wiring inadvertently, not to mention a nicer face on the cut as well.

Also would allow to undercut at an angle to give room for tucking a wire/cable out of sight under basboard bottom edge without having to remove and rout out on the back side and re-install.

Under certain situations would also allow for simple and tight quarters mitered cuts

The protrusion should be firm enough to maintain settings, yet of a nature to absorb vibrations and slide smoothly on any surface without leaving marks.

It should be flexible/easy to set and lock such that the oscillation does not cause the setting to change once locked into place.
