So far, I have only used it on a couple of projects around the house, the biggest project was building a new workbench.

I'll start off by saying the Dremel Driver is NOT meant to replace your cordless drill! Think of it as a power screwdriver on steroids. I used my cordless drill to make pilot holes in 3/4in. plywood to be attached to 2X4's. Once the pilot holes were drilled through the plywood and 2X4's, the Dremel Driver had no problem with screwing in screws from 3/4in to 2 1/2in.

For the money and my anticipated use, the Dremel Driver is well worth the price paid. And, you can't beat it's size to power ratio.

This little tool get's five stars from me.

Wiggle Bit Holder - Defective?

****o, I'm trying to determine if the Magnetic Bit Holder on the front of the Dremel Cordless Driver (Model Number 1120) is defective. If you put in a bit and wiggle it around, is it supposed to wiggle any? In mine, when I put in a bit, the holder portion can wiggle about a 16th of an inch. So it makes drilling small hole with a drill bit difficult because by the end of the bit it is moving around in a circular motion. So before I return the Driver for a new one, I wanted to know if this is normal or not.

Thanks.

Dremel 4000

We need feed back on the 4000 on its power and usability

Where is it sold?

Has the driver just been released or has it been out for a while? At $30.00 each to replace, I looked for an alternative. I purchased the Dremel Driver because of its compact size and light weight. The LiOn battery voltage was comparable to the Dewalt, and I thought it could do a comparable job. I found that the Dremel Driver is superior in all aspects to the DeWalt. It has more driving power for a much longer time, is easier to handle, and does away with clutches, folding handles, etc in a simple uncomplicated tool. After 3 years of hard use, my Dremel Driver stopped working. On the advice of a Dremel tech consultant, I sent my out of warranty tool back to Dremel for repair. Dremel promptly sent me a new Dremel Driver to replace my inoperable one which was one year out of warranty. Dremel sets a standard that the rest of the world should emulate. I bought my first Dremel Moto-Tool in 1968 to use in my model railroading hobby. I have been a satisfied Dremel user since then.

How heavy is the driver?

What is the weight of the actual too?
