Collect plastic soda and drink bottles in a size convenient for watering your house and outside garden plants. Keep the top to the bottles also.

Get the smallest size bit that you can get your hands on. I used a bit less then 5/16ths, (didn't have a gauge to get the size) Chuck it tight into your Dremel.

Screw the top onto the plastic soda/ drink bottle. I held onto the bottle, put it in the kitchen sink and put the faucet toward the other double sink, then sat on a bar chair. Guess those folks thats bones aren't old could sit right on the floor.

Drill holes in a circular pattern. I put my first hole dead center by eye and then started spacing holes out from there. I kept drilling till I had circled the cap with out drilling the bottle.

Brush the plastic bit's off the outside of the cap, then take it off and fill the plastic bottle with water and rinse out the plastic bits inside the bottle.

Fill the bottle with water tip and squeeze. The varied amount of pressure on the bottle will vary the water flow. What size drink/soda bottle you use is your choice depending on what bottle you can carry/handle and how much water you need for your garden/ house plants without going back for a refill.

This free watering "can" can water starting seeds and small transplants. The shower flow should be gentle enough not too splash the dirty out of the plant. Just take it easy on squeezing the bottle and you can water any house/ garden plant without buying a single watering can! I suspect many folks can grab an empty bottle today and have their FREE watering bottle in a few minutes.

I've gotten some great ideas from this site, so hopefully I've "paid back" a bit by giving you folks this project. I have the Dremel hanging from above as recommended, but I'm having issues working for an extended period of time due to the weight, sway and heat of the flex shaft itself.

Is their an ideal height or way to use the flex shaft to eliminate the sensation of the weight when doing this type of finite work? I feel badly to have such a wonderful piece of equipment to not be able to find a comfortable way to work with it. The weight and width of the unit itself makes it more than I want to deal with when working on a piece that takes two to three hours to complete. I keep using the flex shaft, but am highly dissatisfied with it. What amazes me about it is that I do not have weak hands or wrists by any stretch of the imagination. For me to notice the weight and sway - I cannot imagine how someone older or with less hand strength deals with the flex shaft when etching. I keep thinking I must be doing something wrong.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

fishing with my dremel

I use my dremel all for making wood fishing lures in which I enjoy giving/trading to anyone who wantes to barter or just someone who likes to fish with kids........

amber polishing

I have several pieces of amber I would like to shape slightly then polish. You know those toys you can buy in a pet store for birds and small animals to chew on? Some of them are hanging bird toys and some are just like wooden carrots or what have you.

How do you make those? Even just the name of the tool or bit or part or whatever would be handy so that I could look it up!

Here comes a second stupid question.. on a bird house or a wooden hamster toy there is a hole for said creature to get in and out of the house.. it's usually around 4 inches across or so? What does one use to make a hole like that? I put in a search for "hole drill" in desperation and something actually came up, much to my surprise, is that actually what you'd use? Is there an attachment like that for the dremel?

I've had my dremel for a good 7 years or so now and all I've really done with it is cut out lids of bins to make hamster cages. I'm sure I could make them wooden toys a lot cheaper than I could buy them.. if I knew what I was doing that is.

Thanks!

Why does my Internet connection keep saying unidentified network?

Why does my Internet connection keep saying unidentified network?
I have an acer laptop notebook thing lol. I was able to complete successfully without the stone exploding or otherwise ruined it, which I was told was not bad.

Since then, I have come away from that hobby. Recently, I've begun to acquire rough opals, one white, the rest black. I have also acquired a small cordless dremel tool. I'd like to begin carving these, but am not sure how to go about it, as my experience with carving stone was on the bench saws and polishers. I'd like to do the same with this dremel tool. I know that I have to get diamond burrs, which I'm doing, but what about polishing? What grit/polishing compound would I use? I love making baby blankets and I'll make them in both boy and girl colors to keep at the house so when there is a baby shower I am ready with a beautiful handmade gift that any new mother would just lost to have.

The first step in locating free crochet baby blanket patterns is by searching the internet. I love to look at all the photos of baby blankets first to see which ones really catch my eye. I will print out all the ones I love the most and would love to make. I keep them all in a file so when I want to make a baby blanket they are right there waiting for me. You could be lost for hours searching all the free crochet baby blanket patterns because there is just so many of them. You can either save each pattern that you like in your favorites under a file folder called free crochet baby blanket patterns or you can print each one out that you like.

You can also find free crochet baby blanket patterns at your local library. Many libraries have crochet magazines that you are allowed to check out. When you have them at home, just copy all the patterns you really like and keep them in your file. Your library may even be able to make copies for you if you are unable to make the copies at your own home. If your library doesn't have crochet magazines see if they can get some in. If there is a large enough interest most libraries will start ordering them.

Free Crochet Baby Blanket Patterns - Where To Find And How To Organize
New to crochet please help

I'm abeginner in learning crochet.I need videos and tutorials.please help

whats the best disc for cutting Bone ???

Hi

I cut Bone to make NZ style fish hooks and other jewellery so cut fresh cow bone - it's pretty hard but not like stone - i carce it with sanding disc's and Carbide Burrs -
But what i want to know is what type of Disc's would be the best to cut this bone (also part number or exact Disc)
I have tried a few cheapy cut off disc's but they wear out quick and break a lot i would prefer a solid disc i can use many times.

Any info appreciated
Thanks Mark

P.S Merry Xmas all

Question: How To Mill a Slot

I have to cut out small slots in the walls of hard plastic project boxes. They are now flat on the ground.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/36341635@N04/5020906757/" title="Rooster leftside by Alibar1, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4132/5020906757_6040fee803.jpg" width="500" height="305" alt="Rooster leftside" /></a>

How to Crochet an Infinity Scarf ?

Hi friends,
This is julie independent crafts woman, loves all types of crafting including: Sewing, Knitting, Crochet, Jewelry making. In this video she will teach you how to get started on a crocheted Infinity scarf.she will show you also how to do a chain stitch and a half douvle crochet stitch.Hope this will be useful to all crochet lovers:)

part1:

http://www.askthecrafter.com/videos/579/Crochet-an-Infinity-Scarf-part-1-learn-chain-stitch,-&-Half-Double-Crochet-Day-16

part2:

http://www.askthecrafter.com/videos/580/How-to-Crochet-an-Infinity-Scarf-Part-2-Day-17

How to Make Sugar Gum Paste Flowers Making a Rose Bud with Gum Paste

Grinding down agates or other semi-precious stones...

Hey kids, just wondering if anyone is doing this? The first thing I need it for is smoothing (sanding) and then polishing the edges of broken pottery to make into jewelry pieces. Which attachment(s) should I use to accomplish this? I have in my mind a picture of a sailing boat with a short, weighted keel made of balsa wood, glued together and sealed with...what?

Any help would be useful. A group is putting on a "creekside regatta" later this month. It's got to be semi simple and semi quick and small. I own a 10-speed dremel 300, work station, flex shaft, glue gun, and air powered (pnumatic??) brad gun. I think I have what I need, except experience building boats.

Erik Larson
Calhoun, TN
