I have heard that Dremels work great for model trains.

Welcome to the message board.

Dremel for toy trains

I use my Dremel Moto tool for cleaning, polishing & rust removal on my old Lionel trains. I have been repairing & restoring old trains for many years. That isn't news. That I just replaced my old Moto tool with a new 300 model is. The old one was sold at our garage sale after 30 years of great service. I found I needed a variable speed tool. I was happily surprised to find that all the old bits & brushes fit the new tool. I haven't used it yet but I expect it will be every bit as good as the old Dremel.
