Hi dremel users

I am a dremel pro , with five years of continuos use and always looking for improve the use of the rotary tool.

I developed a variation to accesorie number 407 to improve 300% sanding , grinding , devastating , polishing . This implies use of sanding discs  from number 40 to 600 sanding papers, where the hardest ones use as devastating , middle ones as gouvias and softs ones for polishing.

Photos available and all kind of tips of solutions to posts i see in this forum.

Interested ones pls reply.

Alice corners are always hard all those little places to get into. I'm not a real pro in this area but I know that the Dremel Contour Sander is a great tool for this with many attachments to get in there. You might check this out to see if it will work for you

Hi ,

The tip is very easy , Take your rubber drum for sanding, cut sand discs of 1 inch , also cut a disc same diameter of polyethilene ( pet) , the one used on plastic bottles of beverages as a support for the sanding paper. This way you avoid the sanding discs to fly away.

While using press the tool sofltly , and you will get best results.

Try with sandpaper 40 for devastating, and as you advance on the work reduce the number of the sandpaper.

Sorry for my English, it has been a long time without using it.

for photos or more information contact me to my e.mail

arte.amaca@yahoo.es  and i will be pleased to share experiences.

Tito I think I understand now and that would work real well thanks for sharing that with us I will try it. I do have a problem with the disk flying off so that might help.

Tanks Ted :

I will be very pleased to share the professional use of the dremel rotary tool.

I began working with dremel in 2002, My country , Venezuela was inmersed in a general strike that lasted 61 days !, after that all my businnes went down , ( I was working as heavy machinery mechanic ), and had nothing to do.So the  I kept looking for a way of living thru carving, made carving for beds, chairs ,doors ,started with scupltures, etc. After a while contacted local dremel offices and offered my services to teach the dealers. They requested me a study to introduce dremel to our country.

I developed a technique to obtain figures, letters , decoration with armed concrete (houses here are mainly cement ). Also for windows, doors and all related to construction. I feel very satisfied with my work, unfortunaly for dremel-bosch local employees it seemed "too expensive " and out of thier budget, and suggest me to come back to mechanics.

I think that people should do what they like to do. I like carving and sculpture, and no way I will quit.

At the moment I am working with faces " looking for the face of God", already have done a piece for a church and looking funds for the natural size Christ I promised to do, out of tree yokes ( another unique technique I have developed ), also working with jet ( black ambar ) for the spanish market. Also working with polynesian tikis to the US market.

All this thanks to my variation on sanding, which itself it might be a business to make and sell the sanding discs and supports, even though there are similar products on the market, this one  gives you extra performance because of the angles you might get on shaping.

I am not a internaut , I just check my mail once a week, so if you are interested on see my work write me to my address :

arte.amaca@yahoo.es    and I will be pleased to send you pictures and additional comments.

Thanks

Tito Torres
