I have a Sonicare toothbrush, and it recharges through some kind of magnetic induction or something.  I put the handle in the base, but there are no contacts on either;  simply by being in touch with the base, the toothbrush will recharge.  I don't have any clue what kind of technology or batteries they're using for this thing, but it would certainly eliminate the problem that I have experienced with my Stylus.
