I'm looking to buy a Dremel 8220 in Australia and I have a question about the battery voltage. It seems that in some places the 8220 is described as having a 10.8v battery whereas other places claim that it has a 12v battery. This includes your website which states that the 8220 by itself (8220 12VMax High-Performance Cordless) has a 12v battery but also mentions that it is available as part of the 8220-1/28 10.8V Lithium-ion Cordless Rotary Tool Kit (even thought the specs for this kit mention a 12v battery).
This difference in voltage seems confusing. Please can you tell me, was there an original 10.8v battery for the 8220 which has been replaced by a 12v battery or is there something else going on? Thank you.
