| Hi all Dremel Fans I have uploaded my library of ebooks, literature and plans which may be of interest to Dremel users, all in one place. Having got so many priceless tips from the Dremel Board, this is my modest contribution to share with all Dremel fans, and specially those who ask "what do you do with your Dremels ?" Although some of the original and very useful Dremel literature (that should, but does not always accompany all the tools and kits) has been included, not all the literature is Dremel specific. There is a goldmine of ideas and projects in the old Popular Mechanics magazines, Boys Mechanics books, Carpentry books etc. There are books on wood & metal working, making jigs and tools, and many oblique applications, like block printing on cloth, where the Dremel is the ideal tool for carving the wooden printing blocks. All the literature included is in the universal Acrobat pdf format, which is platform independent, and if you do not have the Adobe Acrobat Reader you can download it for free from the Acrobat site. No credit is claimed for anything, and all this literature was found on the net. I have just consolidated it all in one library for handy reference and download. In some cases, where the original was spread over several html pages, I have compiled it into one single pdf file. And where several small files or a very large file is involved, it has been zipped for faster download. All copyrights (many are copyright free) belong to the original publishers. This is an ongoing project, so check back after a few weeks, and you may find something more of specific interest to you. You can find the files stored in the library at link below. http://rapidshare.com/users/IZUYUD Enjoy !!! Sam

This sounds great. I followed the link provided but can not see the down loads and am unable to tell if I must purchase a series or is this all in one. Being a subscription site, I do not want to purchase until I am able to tell what I am getting. Could you explain a little about how "rapidshare" works. Thanks.

The files are free click the link for one you want, when rapidshare comes up click free on the right bottom do the thing at the bottom and then the download will open. Its just a little on the hard side to first get it to do it, but after that then everything will be a breeze. If you still have trouble don't be afried to ask.

Nope, Can not get in! It appears to offer a free down load but I just keep getting error messages and an offer to try again.

| Seems some of the members are confused about how to download the files, and whether they have to subscribe or pay for them. 1) You do not pay anything to download files. I paid Rapidshare to upload my files in a "premium" account, so they would not be deleted after some time. They can be downloaded free by anyone who has the link. I also hope to upload these files on a normal website that does not have some of the irritations of the Rapidshare verification process and download speeds. I will publish the alternate URL on the forum when the files have been uploaded there. 2) When you try to downloaded the files, you get the option of a free or paid (premium) account download. If you just wish to download the files, use the free option. The paid account will enable you to download faster, or resume broken downloads, and is useful if you want to upload your own files, but is not worth the money to download the few files there. It would be worth it if you were downloading several gigabytes of data, - not a few megabits. 3) Since there have now been more than 600 file downloads by the forum members in the past 4 weeks, I presume most of you have no problem with the downloads. There may be traffic or server glitches, as sometime happens - (even the Dremel Message Board was "lost" for several days recently). So if you get some funny messages, just try again after some time. Heres a step by step primer for the downloads a) Click the link to the library below http://rapidshare.com/users/IZUYUD b) You will see the list of files you can download - the titles are self descriptive, and I added comments for some. Most are pdf documents, except for some htm link collections, and a couple of movie files. c) Click the file name you wish to download. You should get a message something like this (file name would be the one you wanted) You have requested http://rapidshare.com/files/113053944/Free_woodworking_plans.htm (75 KB). Followed by two columns detailing "benefits" of Premium and Free options. d) Click "FREE" button at bottom of right FREE column e) You now go to a verification page (where you need to enter some characters you see on the screen), - this is a "tricky" verification process, since you get a series of 5 or more letters or numbers, and have to enter only 4 of these, that are "decorated with a cat". f) If you got the 4 letters right (they are supposed to be read by humans only and not machines, but are just a pain in the butt), you will get the normal "download" box with option to open or save file. Save it in a folder of your choice. If you identified the wrong letters, you get an error message and the option to try again ! g) There are several download paths, and the site will pick one for you. But if the path is clogged with heavy traffic, try one of the others I find the GlobalCrossing works very well. Hope that's clear now ..I am not very happy with all the rigmarole for downloads rapidshare has, even after paying for the service. So I'll transport it to another hassle free web site or service ASAP ...

| Most of the library has now also been uploaded on the Mediafire site. This is a free filesharing service, that is well recomended. There is no fancy "verification" and no waiting. No nags to become a paid subscriber. You can use downloaders, and resume broken downloads. I will upload all future files to this site. The ones on the Rapidshare site will continue to be available, but I will not add new files on the Rapidshare site. If any of the other forum members have plans, project pictures, or files they would like to share, which are too big for the forum, this site comes recomended, and is very easy to use. The site is at http://www.mediafire.com/index.php For convenience the files have been grouped into various sections in different directories. This will make it easier for you to find what you need. The download link to each directory for the files uploaded is given below - save it on your disk or bookmarks list if you want to get it all ..
