Hey all,
Just wanted to tell ya that I personally love carving Catlinite or Minnesota pipestone you can order it online at http://www.black-bear-haversack.com/ i think its about a 2.5 on the hardness scale. Is nice to carve with just about any type of dremel bit or attachment its easy to cut big chunks with a hacksaw or scrollsaw. Finishes well too with wet sanding then polishing wheels an beeswax. Do a search and you can see lots of pictures of things made with it.
Get dusty!
