I may have missed mention of it, but the stylus is great for engraving. I do a lot of engraving in wood and have found the stylus to be extremely confortable and much easier to control in fine work than my regular Dremel. Everyone keep having fun with your Dremel Bill

I'm interesting in (newbie at this - mechanics is more my area) carving a wooden sign for my siberian husky kennel and would very much welcome a PM or in this forum some how to's to do this. I have an old Dremel 395 with a flex shaft. What bits should one use? Where do you get the templates with the scripts? Any pointers that would work with a 395?

All you need is a two inch set of stencils any hardware should have them set them together trace around them and your ready to carve. Use the high speed cutter that suits you most any ball tip works ok.

Thanx for the reply Doug. Which cutter would you recommend for the 395 multi-pro? BTW I went to the local Home Depot but they didn't have anything except for mailbox lettering. Will try AIH or Lowes next.

Go to Wal-Mart to Arts and Crafts for stencils. Use a # 100 ball nose cutter.

| You can also get stencils at Hobby Lobby or most any hobby store. With the flex shaft you should be able to carve your letters, but you will find the stylus much easier to use. I'm sorry I took so long to reply, but as always I am goggle-eyed. Keep having fun with your Dremel no matter which tool you choose.  Bill
