****o,

I am new here to the boards and the dremel world. I am an installer of emergency lighting equipment on emergency vehicles. It has come time to do an installation that involves mounting a switch in a piece of plastic or in a dash (tbd) and I was wondering what would be the best tool and kit or bits to do the job. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If I was doing it I would put it in the dash with a reg 1/2 drill bit. This is a standerd toggle swith right? If not I can come up other ideas.

Sorry my fault, I shold have specified what kind of switch. It would actually be a rocker switch and people have told me to use a dremel but I don't know what type and/or bit.

Thanks

I would get the Model 565 multipurpose cutting kit then make a template to draw out my cut or use as a guide. To me the dash is still the place I like.

To Doug's very good advice I would like to add the suggestion that you use low speed settings if cutting into plastic. Plastic materials tend to melt under high speed cutting bits.
