The Multi-Max tool is very useful; I have found numerous projects for it around the house and workshop. I liked it so much I purchased a second one for my son who was about to add a basement room.

I too had a problem with the blade repeatedly coming loose; most likely due to the washer under the clamping screw. Perhaps related to the blades repeatedly coming loose, the peg holes (that fit onto the tool's accessory holder pegs that secure the blades) in one of the most used blades became a little oval and unusable.

The loose blade also apparently eroded some of the metal off the pegs on the accessory holder that secure the blades to the tool. That caused even new blades to fit a little looser than when the tool was new. I will be contacting Dremel about replacing the washer and asking about the accessory holder pegs.

Even with those two problems, it is a tool I would purchase again in a heartbeat. I have around 12 hours of use time on mine and still finding more uses for it.

The washer comes free of charge.  All that you have to do is contact dremel customer services or email them.

I was disappointed to discover that my Contour Sander cannot be updated to a Multi-Max tool.  One would think that wouldn't  be too difficult an accessory to adapt!

Had to replace a worn area of a Parquet floor in the kitchen.

Was going to use a 3" circle saw to do the cutting but pictured

sawdust all over the kitchen.  Saw a ad for the Dremal Multi-Max and played

the videos on the Dremel web site. I knew thats what I needed to do the job.

Just finished and it does everything as advertised.

The best part about this tool for me was  NO SAWDUST

I don't have one but I would think that you would plunge cut between the wall and counter top. Make your plunge cut and repeat all the around the counter top.
