This could be a combo possibly with a similar feature for the powercord-end of the tool which would allow a specified / desired angle of cut to be maintained and smootly cut.
This would allow i.e. resting the tool on a floor surface and cut to raise the baseboard for tile, without getting into drywall, screws, nails, and/or wiring inadvertently, not to mention a nicer face on the cut as well.
Also would allow to undercut at an angle to give room for tucking a wire/cable out of sight under basboard bottom edge without having to remove and rout out on the back side and re-install.
Under certain situations would also allow for simple and tight quarters mitered cuts
The protrusion should be firm enough to maintain settings, yet of a nature to absorb vibrations and slide smoothly on any surface without leaving marks.
It should be flexible/easy to set and lock such that the oscillation does not cause the setting to change once locked into place.
