I just purchased a Dremel Driver a couple of weeks ago. So far, I have only used it on a couple of projects around the house, the biggest project was building a new workbench.

I'll start off by saying the Dremel Driver is NOT meant to replace your cordless drill! Think of it as a power screwdriver on steroids. I used my cordless drill to make pilot holes in 3/4in. plywood to be attached to 2X4's. Once the pilot holes were drilled through the plywood and 2X4's, the Dremel Driver had no problem with screwing in screws from 3/4in to 2 1/2in.

For the money and my anticipated use, the Dremel Driver is well worth the price paid. And, you can't beat it's size to power ratio.

This little tool get's five stars from me.

Purchased this tool in November of 2008 at Lowe's and loved it for small projects. Now its useless won't take a charge tried to return it to Lowe's with receipt and they wanted nothing to do with it after 90 days have to deal with manufacture. They don't carry it anymore.

Call dremel customer service and from past experience I am certain that they will take care of you.  In fact in most cases Dremel is faster than dealing with the distributer whether it be Lowes or Home depot plus the fact that customer satisfaction is the credo.

Aw shucks. I had hoped not to replace my Ryobi cordless (12v) that died. I do very little "heavy drilling" and have 2 corded drills.

Do anyone else have input on this?

Thanks.
