I want to be able to notch a T6 Aluminum pipe that is 1/4 inch thick. Is this possible using a dremel? And what type of setup do i need. I would imagine i need to secure the tool and somehow rotate the aluminum pipe easily. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Also what type of tip should i use if i want the notches to be about 1/8 or 16th wide and very shallow.

Not sure what you are planning to do but the #456 fiberglass reinforced cut-off wheel should do it. Although if I had access to a band saw I would use it. A wood blade will work on Aluminum.
