I have the 225-T1 Flex Shaft Attachment for a over ten years and I never actually used it. Just worked out that way. The dremel I had at the time is long gone as well as the piece of **** cordless I bought after that but I did go and buy the 400 xpr model and it works great. Only problem is I could actually use the flex shaft on what I am doing now but it doesn't work on this dremel. I know there is a square (in the center) collet nut that drives the shaft through the flex shaft. I don't have the square collet but the part that threads onto the dremel itself seems a bit deep to connect into the collet.

don't ask any questions at osh they are plain ......
Lowe's not much help there either
Home Depot depends on who's working or if anyone's working.

Any imput would be appreciated.

I have never seen the collet nut with the square hole available on any accessory display. You may have to go to the Dremel custonmer service site for one. There is no way around this.

I can cionfirm the flex shart will work on the 400. Besides the collet nut you remove the plastic ring that screws on below it and then screw the shaft on instead. With this condition you should have no problems with the flex shaft.

I looked through their cataloge befor4 posting this and I was not able to find it. I did take the flex shaft to HD and was able to compare it to the new flex shaft and sure enough the collet that comes with it has a square center to line up with the square driver. I contacted customer service and they are sending me one. Hopefully, this concludes my search.

Thanks for your reply.

Once again the team of Customer's Support in the U.S. shows it is superb. Let us acknowledge and thank them for that.
