| Hey all. I have a piece of black lava rock that I want to carve something into. I haven't had my Dremel for very long so I am wondering what bit (I'm assuming some sort of diamond bit but I'm not sure) I should use. It is a pretty soft rock and I only have one shot at it so I want to be sure to get it right the first time. I know I'm not providing a lot of details but honestly I'm not sure what information to include so if there is something you need to know before answering me please let me know and I will answer ASAP. Thanks!

Dremel has 7 diamond wheel points the best ones I have found is #7103 and the #7144 you can buy these two together in package # 7150.
I would suggest that you practice on other stones before taking on the lava rock. And remember let the speed of the tool do the work meaning don't put a lot of pressure on it. The tool will cut the best by using speed about 15000 rpm or higher. It will take time and patience
