I'm not an owner of a Dremel multitool so please forgive this intrusion, but I would like some information from Dremels owners to help me work out how I can attach my Flexi Drive Shaft to my multitool. The manufacturer states that the flexi drive is compatible with most rotary tools, so I assume that this includes the market leader Dremel.

Here's the product:

http://www.silverlinetools.com/index.html?code=794340

This flexi drive screws onto the end of my multitool fine and I assume the multitool chuck grips the inner shaft which has a 3.1mm square-section. But I can't see any way to do the chuck up once it's screwed inside the end fitting of the flexi drive.

I was wondering if a Dremel chuck has a square-shaped grip (mine is round), or whether a Dremel would engage with the square pillar inside the flexi drive in some other way?

So is my multitool different in some way to a typical Dremel, or am I being thick here in how to attach this flexi shaft?

Here's my multitool:

I think that the best way for you to understand that you will need the square drive nut, which seems to be missing in your equipment, is to download the pdf manual of the original Dremel flexshaft:

Thanks, I thought it might be something like that. I'll have to try to obtain one from somewhere or maybe mod the spare chuck that came with my multitool. Thanks for your help.
