This is one of the most versatile tools I own. I purchased a competitors   (HF) first and experienced high heat after short usage. The Multi- Max is a champion, if you let it do the work and not force it. Last weekend I removed 25 sq feet of stubborn outdoor carpet on a front porch. I used the unit continuously for about and hour and it barely got warm. I would like to see many more options for sanding, s****ing and cutting. I would like to see the s****ers and blades be more competitively priced. Too bad the HF accesories don't fit

The Multimax is great. It is very useful. The only negative is too hot to handle after 5 to 10 minutes use. I have to use glove to handle it.
