I got a 4000 for Christmas and am excited about using it. The manual and tool charts could be better done as I cannot find basic how-to info for newbies, which I most surely am.

What bits are the best to use when drilling holes into small stones for beadwork? Which grinding/sanding bits are best for shaping and polishing small stones?

I know there's a craft forum and also much doco on this site but these are the types of applications I will be using my tool for.

All the best to everyone for the new year!

HELP!!!

I bought a new 4000 on Dec. 17, 2009. It worked fine yesterday. Today it's DEAD. I've tried it in several sockets in which other devices work fine. Is there something stupid that I don't know? My old Dremel worked fine for 20 years, so I'm not a naive user.

The Dremel 800 number doesn't work today (New Years Eve) and I'm very frustrated and desperate. Can anyone help?

Carlo
