The current chuck (or whatever it's called) on my dremel will not tighten down enough to fit very small drill bits, and I need to use a #68 drill bit (.0310").

Is there some sort of attachment I need to buy?

Thanks a lot for helping!

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I think you misread my post; I said 0.0310", not 0.310".

I have an opposite question/problem. I have the standard collet (1/8) and the keyless chuck, but am looking for something that will give me a way to attach 1/4" bits to the unit.

A slightly larger chuck, like the 4486 that handles 1/4" would be perfect. I'll be using the unit at a low speed for polishing mostly, but can't seem to find anything

Does the chuck really go down to a #68 bit?  The spec says the chuck is for 1/32" to 1/8", and 1/32" is .0315.  When I use the 1/32" collet, a .0310 bit just falls out, no matter how much I tighten it.  I'd hate to invest in the chuck just to discover that there's no good way to secure a #68 bit.  Frankly, I'd like to go down to a #69 bit, but I wonder if that's even possible with a Dremel?
