My youngest got hold of my Dremel 4000 & lost the housing cap. Now I've contacted the shop I bought it from & various other shops online (none of which replied despite repeat email) & on the high street that are Dremel dealers & none can help me get the part. Did get one offer of sending it in to 'our service centre' but all it needs is a part that screws on. So I spent £112 sterling not so long ago & it's completely out of action. Anyone out there at Dremel able to help?

So, nobody from Dremel could be bothered to even respond to my enquiry. Some company eh? Advice for anyone in the UK. With the season for giving gifts coming along, don't buy anyone anything from Dremel. If they need help with it, there isn't any!

I hear you and could not agree more. I was planning to buy a brand new dremel 8200 (already have 3 corded models). But after searching this forum and google around for common problems of the 8200 could not find a real answer from dremel so I gave up. All I found "call the customer service" nearly for everything... Thanks dremel, time to check out the alternatives.
