My Dremel has overcome everything I've thrown at it.  Drilling stones/gems, cutting rebar/steel bars, carving wooden rings, and making custom picture frames.  I even got a call from a general contractor friend, who had heard some of my 'Dremel stories', asking to borrow my Dremel and my services.  He had installed cabinets and forgot to remove a 3 inch strip of plywood from the bottom...this piece of wood kept him from installing the base plate...and could not reach the strip with any saw he owned.   With less than 4 inches of clearance, and the angle, the Dremel itself would not fit under the cabinet...so I used a circular blade and the flex shaft to remove the strip in about 30 seconds.  Afterwards, he explained that he 'thought' he had every cutting tool necessary to build a house.  The Dremel kept him from having to un-install the cabinets...he purchased his own later that afternoon.
