Just joined the forum, and have been using the EZ545 to cut /trim rocks and do lapidary work (just started doing that about a month ago.) From what I am reading on here, a lot of you have a lot more knowledge/experience than I do, and that's a good thing!
I happened to notice today -and this info may have been on the info packets, but I rarely read them - about the diamond disk rpm limits at 20,000. My dremel has a 2 speed variable 35k and 12k or 15k (don't remember off hand - I'm not at home).
Anyway, what could happen running it on 35k? Actually, I have been doing just that for quite some time. Seems odd they'd make a Dremel that will run that high and disks that won't. Will it work as effectively at a lower speed? Thanks in advance for your feedback!
