I want to create a new channel beneath and athwart my derby car in order to receive a 3/8" dowel used as the axle.  I see a routing bit 617 (I think) Core Box bit that would make the chanel for me, but it's the wrong size.  Where can I find a 3/8" Diameter round nose router bit (1/8" shank) that I could use on my Dremel to route the "half-pipe" channel needed for my axle?

To my knowledge you will not find a larger router bit for the dremel.

Unfortunately you will have to enlarge the grove manually, one pass at a time.  The problem with a larger bit is that it would require more torque to run than the tool could supply causing it to burn out prematurely.  Hope this helps.Hehe
