I purchased a new 8200 yesterday from lowes. After fully charging the battery (1hr) I began using it at half speed, the light flashed after 5min of use and went dead. I then charged again (1hr) and again after 5min of use dead.

Is this a defective battery?

About Batteries!

The 8200 battery is 99% the same configuration as the Bosch 12V.

To use it just use your Dremel 8200 to trim the Bosch Battery. Use the EZ Lock with a "thin cut" wheel and trim the excess plastic away. Use the Dremel Battery as a guide.

My favorite "larger" tool brand is Bosch. So I have plenty of Bosch 12V batteries. They still work fine in the Bosch after trimming for use in the Dremel. The Bosch charger will also charge both.

I noticed that the 8200 must be huge.
