I have to hit the arm with a rubber mallet to get it to go fast, it will run on slow. I just want to fix it because I like it. I've had it for 11 yrs. I don't have a owner manual any more and was all so wondering if it takes plain end blades? Any help out there would be thankful

Your scroll saw, like mine, has been discontinued. If Dremel customer service doesn't have a manual avail you might try google. With your "hit & run" approach it sounds to me like a loose wire or bad switch. You might end up having to by-pass the switch and direct wire it. Sears used to have a blade conversion kit available. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I'll check the switch thing out. I bought a saw from sears and I'm taking it back. It is to crazy for the pin less blades to put in its a good saw but not for the pin less blades.
