Has anyone tried engraving river rock and if so what accessory did you use? I am looking to engrave a rock hard enough that will last by the crashing waves and salt of the ocean.

Thank you

Hi, this is Beth from Dremel Customer Service.  Dremel doesn't really make a bit that would be strong enough to engrave into a rock.  We find that for a project of this type, your best bet would be to contact a "Lapidary" Shop (one that deals in rocks), and also upon looking at the internet, it seems that what most users use for this type of project is a pneumatic tool.  I'm sorry I can't help you further with this application.  For more questions, always feel otherwise to contact our Dremel Customer Service Department on our toll free phone number of 1-800-437-3635, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, CST.  Any of us would be more than happy to assist you!
