Hi this is Beth from Dremel.  I'm glad to hear that you got your tool working fine again and that it was only in regards to the brush/springs.  For future however, if you have something "other" than brushes or springs happening with your tool... I advise... please don't open up the tool.  Your tool has a 5 year warranty on it.  If you open it up and do harm to it, you could void out the warranty.  If you ever have any questions in regards to your tool, please feel free to contact our Dremel Customer Service Department on our toll free phone number of 1-800-437-3635, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, CST.  Any of us would be more than happy to assist you!
