Just bought a 4200 dremel and the flexshaft to go with it since the Lowes guy said it would work on it. I am having no luck whatsoever in getting it on. Does the flexshaft work with the 4200?

To answer your question, yes it does.  You have to remove the nose piece then insert the adapter that comes in the kit into the chuck ( it is the long cylindar piece that has a square drive in the end) and then attach the longer nose piece that will allow you to attach the flexshaft.  In the end it will look like you put an extension on your 4200.  Hope this helps.  The adapters should have been in your 4200 kit in the blue accessory kit.

****o Jimmy, this is Beth from Dremel Customer Service.  It's true what the other user, Wayne, has instructed you in regards to putting the 225-01 Flex Shaft onto your new Dremel 4200 tool.  However, for users that have another Dremel tool, they can use their collet/collet nut from off of their other tool to put it into the end of the Flex Shaft. Otherwise, the 4200 does not provide the collet/collet nut for the Flex Shaft, so if you need these two items, please call our Dremel Customer Service Department to discuss this with them.  Any of us would be happy to assist you.  We can be reached on our toll free phone number of 1-800-437-3635, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, CST.  Thanks for your inquiry!

Hi Jimmy:  It's Beth from Dremel Customer Service.  I'm happy to inform you that our #335 Plunge Router does work with your new 4200 tool.  (Just remember though, if you need to change a router bit out during your project, you'll have to remove the tool to change the accessory okay?)  Glad I could be of assistance to you.
