I will not buy another ez drum. Been using the old style for years and years. The ez drum is a far inferior product, and an absolute waste of 6 bucks. Did the fine people at dremel even product-test that thing? It seems not. What was wrong with simply tightening the screw and sanding the night away? Apparently someone's convenience trumps product quality. I have never had any complaints about any dremel product until tonight when I threw my ez drum across the yard after 15 minutes of use and am instead at the computer complaining about dremel products (which is the first time I have ever been on a product message board anywhere). Its junk. If u loved the drum sander of old, u are gonna hate this product.

Do they still sell the old style, or am I gonna have to research other products? Anyone know of any quality alternatives?

****o, this is Beth from Dremel.  I'm sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the EZ407SA Drum.  I personally have not heard of anyone not liking this.  I wish that you would have called our Customer Service Department to talk to a representative about this.  We'd like to get your input as to "What doesn't make you happy about this".  Your message actually didn't indicate what upset you in regards to it.  You have asked if we are still making the original ones with the little screw at the top and the answer is "Yes".  You can still purchase those as well.  If you can't find any in the store, please call us, we can assist you.  Please feel free to call our Dremel Customer Service Department on our toll free phone number of 1-800-437-3635, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, CST.  Any of us would be happy to assist you.
